Comment “My life in India”
One thing in the text “My life in India”is comparable with the biography I wrote because the person came back to India to find “enlightenment and spirituality” and to escape from “rampant materialism”. Bob, the person I invented, went to India as well to leave his unloved life behind him and to find himself and peace.
But actual the two men have different stories. The person was born in Bombay as the son of an English colonist, he had a privileged childhood. He had to leave India in 1947 because India became independent. He just lived there for 8 years in an insular way, he didn´t live an Indian life, he and his family, they didn´t adapt to the Indian life and culture/traditions. That´s the reason why he wasn´t able to get along with the Indians when he came back 18 years later. They looked upon at him as a stranger also he was born there. He just spoke English or French but no Hindi. he couldn´t even communicate with them. He had to accept that India was not the paradise he maybe imagined or remembered from his childhood.
